MVSNDS ASSIGNMENT 3 VIDEO

For the last part of our assignment we were asked to make a video that relates to our blog so we decided, why not make a video where we are all having fun to music, dancing and having some laughs. Our group is made by Monica Jane, Veronica, Saad, Nicole, Daniela and Sohail, our topic is Music and we are happy to blog about our video as it is just jokes and laughs but it relates to our blog.

Aaliyah

Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979 – August 25, 2001) was an American vocalist, artist, on-screen character, and model. She is an extremely understood and acknowledged artist of her time. She has worked with many people, for example, Timberland and Missy Elliot and some more. Her extremely understood tunes are One in a Million and Try Again. She was murdered in a plane accident in the Bahamas with a pack of individuals.

At the point when considering Aaliyah's reputation, it's befitting that her name signifies "The most elevated, most commended one, the best. Tinashe

Jorgenson Kachingwe or also known as Tinashe was born on February 6 1993. She is an American singer, record producer, dancer, actress, model and songwriter. She originally started to pursue her entertainment career at the age of 3 with modeling and acting. Although, it wasn’t until 2011-2014 when she became famous with her independent releases and her album Aquarius.

On July 13 2012, Tinashe was finally signed with RCA records. Tinashed started to work on her debut studio album in 2014 and recorded it in Los Angeles, London , Atlanta, New York, and Toronto. She started to work with several producers and this includes Clams Casino, Ryan Hemsworth, Stuart Matthewman, DJ Mustard, T Minus, mike Will Made It, Boi-1da, Best Kept Secret, Ritz Reynolds and finally London on the track.

Finally on June 29 2014, Tinashe made her first national television debut and she performed her successful single ‘2 On” at the BET Awards pre show. This single ‘2 on’ became number 1 hit on the billboard chart.

The mystery of Sia’s wig is to keep the audience intrigues and also have them guessing of what she looks like without the wig covering her face. By wearing a wig, she distances herself from the image of modern day celebrities and keeps herself free from the physical criticism that all celebrities on social media are regularly attacked with.
Sia Kate Isobelle Furler is well known as SIA and is an Australian singer and also a songwriter. She first started her career in a local acid jazz band Crisp in Adelaide Australia. She released her debut studio album in 1997 titled Only See in Australia and following that she moved to England and became the lead vocals for British Duo Zero 7. Sia wanted to be a songwriter as she was trying to be a pop songwriter and not an artist, between 2011-2013 she co-wrote songs for many artists including Beyoncé and Rihanna. During the year Sia released Elastic Heart for the soundtrack of the American Film “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”.
In the following year Sia released her album 1000 forms of fear and it topped the billboard chart around the world together with first-week sales of 52,000 copies in the US. It was peaking at number 1 in Australia and reached the top ten of charts in numerous European regions. Also her lead single in her album, Chandelier was released the year after and it took over the top spot of the chart in Australia and that made Sia’s first entry as the lead artist on the chart and it also sold 2 million copies in the US. Sia's music incorporates hip hop, funk and soul as a base for her vocal styling. She received four nominations for "Chandelier" which are Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video.

and that’s how his career began. Not really his career though did started in Philadelphia. He created such hits like "Parents Just Don't Understand" with DJ Jazzy Jeff. He started his solo career in 1997 in the height of his movie fame, with the release of Men In Black theme track in which he also starred in as one the main stars. His continued with his release of music but it seems like it might be the end, very soon for The Fresh Prince’s music career.

Beyoncé Lemonade

The famous American singer Beyoncé has released her sixth studio Album called Lemonade on the 23 April 2016. The record labels for this album are Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. This album falls under a variety of genres and this includes R&B, pop, hip hop, blues , rock soul, funk , country, gospel and lastly trap. Lemonade also includes a one hour visual album and it has a strong depiction of 'every woman's journal of self knowledge and healing' according Tidal.

Beyoncé was inspired to name her album 'Lemonade' as it had a connection with her grandmother Agnez Dereon and also her husband's grandmother Hattie White. In one of Beyoncé's track 'Freedom', Hattie says 'I had my ups and downs, but I always found the inner strength to pull myself up. I was serve lemons, but I made lemonade'. Many critics believe that the whole album signifies the struggle of women and being continuously oppressed by society and men. Although, many will argue that the album raises questions about Beyoncé's and Jay Z's marriage and his fidelity issues and affair with 'Becky'.

The track list for Lemonade consists of 13 songs. The title of the songs are : 'Pray you catch me' , 'Hold up', 'Don't hurt yourself' , 'Sorry' , '6 inch' , 'Daddy lessons' , 'Love drought' , 'Sandcastles' , 'Forward' , 'Freedom' , 'All night' ,'Formation' and 'Lemonade'.

In China, Chris's life is like a whirlwind of performances and public appearances. To date, She has had 52 hit singles on Chinese Music Billboard and released 7 top-selling albums and 3 films. In 2006, Chris's first album <The Queen and Dreams> reached sales of 1.37 million. Many of her fans referred to themselves as "corns" to express the crazy love for her.

Marshall Mathers also known as Slim Shady is one of the greatest rappers of all time. The 43 years old hip hop artist started performing since the early 90's and he has been known for a lot of songs such as beautiful, rap god, the real slim shady, I need a doctor and many other successful songs. Eminem's career also involves acting as he starred the award winning movie 8 mile. Eminem's successful career has involved by other artists such as Dr.Dre, Lil Wayne, Rihanna and others. This successful career has been through some detours, the most dangerous one was his drug addiction which he eventually was able to succeed it. Eminem, Marshall Mathers or even Slim Shady, you can argue about which name you are going to call him, but you cannot argue about how good this rapper is. And also, no one can doubt that he is one of the best rappers who ever lived .

His sold over 100 million records worldwide. Prince has released 39 albums since the age of 18 till his death in 2016. His most popular song was purple rain which changed the game of music all by it self. RIP Legend. You shall be missed.

In Taiwan, She has done television commercials for a wide diversity of products.

Drake

Views from the six

Views is a studio album created by the famous Canadian recording artist and rapper Drake. This album was record from 2015-2016 and was released on 28 April 2016. The record labels are OVO Sound, Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records. According to Drake, 'the 6' symbolises his hometown in Toronto, Canada. Although, when the album was released it had been renamed and shortened to 'views' as the title. The track list consist of 20 songs. The name of the songs are: 'Keep the family close' , '9' , 'U with me?' , 'Feel no ways' , 'Hype' , 'Weston Road flows' , 'Redemption' , 'With you' , 'Faithful' , 'Still here' , 'Controlla' , 'One dance' , 'Grammys' , 'Child's Play' , 'Pop style' , 'Too Good' , 'Summer over interlude' , 'Fire & desire' , 'Views' and finally 'Hotline Bling'. Many critics believe that this album is less of a dance floor orientated music in comparison to this past albums. Also, many will agree that this album is shows off a similar vibe to Drake's albums Take care and Nothing was the same.

Usher Terry Raymond IV was conceived on October 14, 1978, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Usher is an effective American R&B and popular performer who started making music at age 15. His hit collections incorporate My Way, Confessions and Looking 4 Myself. For over 15 years, Usher has been an overwhelming player in the music business. He's moved over a few diverse musical types, including R&B, soul and pop. Usher is an American R&B artist who has won five Grammy Awards and runs his own particular name, US Records.

Usher's music can give you emotions of happiness, sadness, anger and calmness. Through songs like U Remind Me, which is a quick paced RnB track, where it is made around a man who meets a lady who appears like a perfect girl, but he doesnt want to continue a relationship with her since she reminds him of an ex who he had a bad breakup with. Most of his music is around life stories and girls. Though they are songs, many people can relate to the feeling and emotion Usher gives through song to the people listening.

SONAR

the translation of the word Sonar is sound. But in this post, Sonar is an electronic and advanced music festival and it often takes place in Barcelona, Spain. But it was held in places like London, New York and Rome. The festival is usually held in summer, especially in June. Sonar has hosted several DJ's such as DJ Zero, Goldfrapp and Merzbow. The festival divides into two sections: Sonar by day and Sonar by night. Sonar by day hosts some talent in the music making industry. And sonar by night hosts the famous ones. Sonar is now recognized as one of the best electronic and advanced music festival in Spain if not the world. If you are exploring the beautiful country of Spain and you love to listen to electronic and advanced music, Sonar is a place where you can enjoy music as well as touring Barcelona.

Leehom’s musical style is known for fusing Chinese elements like Beijing opera and Chinese classical orchestra . He is also a four-time winner of Taiwan’s Golden Melody Award. Leehom’s concert at the Beijing Brid's Nest on April 14,2012 was the first solo pop concert to be held at the venue.

In the summer of 1995, While Wang was visiting his grandparents is Taiwan, He was visiting his grandparents in Taiwan , He was offered a professional recording contract by Bertelsmann Music Group after he participated in a talent competition hosted by the label.

Jackson’s career began as a member of the Jackson 5, a group comprised of elder brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon. They found success with hit songs like “can you feel it”. In 1971, Jackson commenced his solo career, he was the biggest musical entertainer in the 80’s & 90’s, with back to back to back hit singles and albums during this time he made the dance moves the robot and moonwalk extremely popular, the latter that he named and created. Emeli Sandé ’s real name is Adele Emily Sandé, she is a Scottish recording artist and songwriter. Sandé ‘s career started when her sister recorded her playing piano to one of her favorite song “Nasty Little Lady” and they sent the video to Nelson’s BBC Urban music competition. Sandé won the show and that’s when she was offered a record deal and she was known in Scotland but soon after she was offered a record deal from Virgin Records and EMI Records.Sandé released her first album “Our version of Events” in early 2011, her single “Read all about it” reached number one in the UK Singles Chart. Her album is known as richly melodic, classically powerful and retro-futurist soul-pop songs.The following year Sandé was named the Brits Awards Critics Choice. Abel Tesfaye is well known as THE WEEKND. Abel Tesfaye is a singer, songwriter and a record producer. He started his singing career in 2010 by uploading numbers of tracks on YouTube under the name The Weeknd and it carried on to the following year until 2012 when he starts touring the U.S and perform in different festivals.
In 2013, he released his debut studio album “Kiss Land” and his second album “Beauty Behind the Madness” was released, in 2015 and 3 of his songs in this album held the top 3 spots in the Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart. Can’t Feel My Face at number 1, The Hills at number 2 and Earned It in number 3 and this made The Weeknd the very first artist to earn this distinction in the history of the Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart. His album spent three weeks on top of the chart and it topped the chart in Canada, Australia, Norway and the UK and it also reached the top 10 in over ten countries.
His emotional, plaintive lyrics often express feelings of hurt and deal with subject matter such as sex, drugs and partying and also his hairstyle has been his most recognizable feature and it had drawn a lot of attention from his fan but The Weeknd already state that he will not cut his hair and it makes him different from others and if he cuts his hair he will look the same as others and that is boring for him.

Stands for ( ultra music festival ), this electronic music festival is considered one of the best festivals in the world alongside tomorrowland. Ultra Music Festival is usually held in the summer, and it is held in several locations such as Miami, Brazil, Ibiza and others, but the festival is more likely to be held in Miami. And like Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival is also being hosted by the world's best DJ's such as David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Hardwell, Avicii and so on. And also, if you want to check your DJ's performance on the festival you can check it on the UMF youtube page or on the DJ's personal youtube page. If you looking to enjoy great music and have a good time, Ultra Music Festival is a good place to be, where you can enjoy the beautiful beaches of Miami and also enjoy a good party of electronic music.

Childish Gambino, whose real name is Donald Mckinley Glover, is a comedian, actor and musician. He started off as a comedian working with Derrick Comedy and Tina Fey, he was then fired to become a writer for an NBC comedy series 30 rock. After a bunch of self-released albums and mixtapes he was then signed to GlassNote Records in 2011. His music is influenced by the following musicians such as, JayZ, Kanye West, Outkast, Wu-Tang Clan. The Roots and Michael Jackson.

Childish Gambinos music lets you imagine the story is he trying to portray in his lyrics and beats. He is also very entertaining from the "weird" and fantasy type music videos it is not like typical musicians that just dance to the music. Gambino makes his music videos into art, through the way he shows his lyrics and story into a typical 4 minute music video. But once you finish watching the video people may either be like "What did i just watch?" or "Wow that was amazing", It just depends on how the person views the music and the video he has created for it. You cant really distinguish what category of music Childish Gambino is because some of his music can be Soul, Rnb, Hip Hop, Rap, Rock. But you can say that he is a genius, his music gives a change to the typical music that is played on the radio and if you really listen to the lyrics you can see the story he is singing/rapping about and also understand the music video.

Tupac Amaru Shakur born Lesane Parish Crooks is one of the most influential hiphop artists. He has been listed and ranked as one of the greatest artists of all time by many magazines, including Rolling Stone which ranked him 86th on its list of The 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Tupac began his music career as a backup dancer, and MC for the alternative hip hop group Digital Underground. The main themes of Tupac’s music revolve around the hardship, racism, violence and the social problems in inner cities. One of his greatest songs is “Dear Mama” On this meticulously-crafted masterpiece, Tupac pats his mama on the back for working tirelessly to put food on the table during the day and trying to liberate him from the perils of street life at night. Tupac Amaru Shakur was not just a musician though, he was also an astounding actor with 8 movies under his belt before his premature murder at the age of 25. RIP Legend.

Stereosonic music festival

Stereosonic is one of the biggest festivals held in Australia annually that plays electronic dance music. Stereosonic has been held in 5 cities from Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide from 2007-2005. Unfortunately, the promoters of Stereosonic, Totem Onelove Group has announced that Stereosonic will not be held this year due to the death of a young girl who overdosed last year at Stereosonic.

In 2011, Stereosonic Sydney was the largest music festival held in Australia with 60 000 attendees with an alarming amount of more than 50 people being charged for drug possession offenses.

Popular artists that have been headlining over the years are Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Avicii Calvin Harris and David Guetta. In 2013 and 2014 the event was extended for two days and was reverted back to a one-day festival in 2015.

Jay Chou (18of January 1979) A famous producer music producer \ singer\songwriter from Taiwan. He appeared in the music market in 2000 and swept the whole of Asia. His music mode has overturned the music of the past.
At that time, the young people crazy love him meanwhile adults are very much against him. Most adults cannot agree with his music model. All the denial did not stop his success.
Jay made outstanding achievements in the film in 2005.He set up his own music production company in the following two years. In 2011 Amercian TIME commented that Jay Chou was the second most influential people in the world. He is the best musician in the hearts of people who was born in 90’s .

Kirk Franklin has been one of the brightest stars in contemporary gospel music since his debut in 1993 with the album Kirk Franklin & the family. Franklin produce music that reflect on our society and what is happening, in 2010 he assembled an even bigger crowd of gospel all-stars in Nashville’s Quad Studios to record the benefit single “Are You Listening” for the tragic earthquake in Haiti. As in the following year his album Hello Fear, featured “I Smile” was his first hit that top the pop charts and remained there for several weeks. All his music would take the number 1 spot on the chart as soon its released.
In September of 2015 he announced the release of the controversially titled, Losing My Religion. Losing my religion is his twelfth studio album with the pre-release single, "Wanna Be Happy”, appeared in October and ran right up the charts. It is the type of music that you expect from the artist as his every music is powerful and captivating and deserved to be heard.

"TOMORROWLAND"

is the name of a music festival which is believed to be the best place in the world to enjoy EDM music. The festival is held in the final week of July each year and its held in Belguim. The festival featured some of the most famous Djs like David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Alesso, Avicii and many more, the festival is usually held for three days featuring two or three Djs per day. In the beginning, Tomorrowland took place in some random stages around USA Belguim and Brazil. But nowadays, The festival has its own avenue under the name of "TOMORROWLAND" and its located in Belguim. You can watch the latest festival from thier website (www.tomorrowland.com) or you can watch your favourite DJ's performance on his/her youtube page This place is highly recommended if you love edm music or if you just love to put your hands up and jump.

Twenty88

Twenty88 was released on APRIL 1st 2016. Jhene Aiko and Big Sean announced on MARCH 28th 2016, they were forming into a duo which later became TWENTY88. The album is known for their American Hip Hop style, telling stories of the highs and lows of relationships, conflict, memories, sex, love and so much more.

Jhene Aiko and Big Sean appeared on the cover of FLAUNT MAGAZINE to promote the album, TWENTY88. Jhene Aiko says;"Music now doesn't really cater to the feelings of a real relationship. It's all about trapping and bragging. I feel like this project is something that's needed right now. Especially a whole project, is just good for people to see. That duality is a perfect combination. It's a 70's aesthetic, but we're in the future." From the words Jhene Aiko says music is now very unrealistic when it comes to relationships and love, but singers and rappers like Jhene Aiko and Big Sean, through their songs they give you a feeling of being read a story from start to end and through their music you can feel the emotion and everything happening in their lyrics, people can also understand and feel what they are going through.

As Jhene Aiko and Big Sean released their album TWENTY88 on APRIL 1st, 2016. Many people thought it was an APRIL FOOLS prank, but as they released the songs in the album,a lot of people were outstounded by the music and the stories they were portraying. Even I, Myself fell inlove with the album from the story in DEJA VU all the way to TALKSHOW. The emotion and understandance you feel from their lyrics and beats are insane.TWENTY88 is something every person should atleast give a chance to listen to once in their lives.
